Leslie Burns earned her BA in Studio Art from the College of Charleston in 1999. In 2011, she earned her MFA in Photography from the University of Georgia, where she was awarded a three-year teaching assistantship. Burns’ artwork has been exhibited internationally. Her work has been featured on, and In June 2012, Burns was named as one of the “100 Under 100: The New Superstars of Southern Art” by Oxford American Magazine. She has been an Instructor of Photography at the University of Georgia, Trident Technical College, and Redux Contemporary Arts Center. In 2013, she married Scott Wallace, and gave birth to their daughter. Currently, Mrs. Burns resides with her family in North Charleston, SC, and works as an Adjunct Professor of Photography at the College of Charleston.
